4. Data Storage and Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data transmitted to our app; any transmission is at your own risk.
For offline functionality, we store some of your data locally on your device. This data is synchronized with our servers when you're online.
5. Spotify Integration
Score the Band offers an optional feature that lets you connect your Spotify account to create playlists from songs mentioned in your festival reviews. If you choose to connect Spotify, here is what happens:
Authorization: We use Spotify's official OAuth login to ask for your permission. We never see or store your Spotify password.
Access requested: We request the playlist-modify-public and playlist-modify-private scopes, which allow us to create playlists and add tracks to them on your behalf. We do not request access to your existing playlists, saved music, listening history, or contacts.
Data stored: We store your Spotify account ID and an encrypted access/refresh token pair so we can create playlists for you without asking you to log in again each time. These tokens are encrypted at rest and are never shared with other users or third parties.
Data used: We use the Spotify Search API to match song titles and artists mentioned in your own reviews to Spotify tracks, and the Spotify Playlists API to create a playlist and add the tracks you confirm. We do not use your Spotify data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than the playlist feature you initiated.
Disconnecting: You can disconnect your Spotify account at any time from your profile page. Doing so deletes the stored tokens immediately; any playlists already created in your Spotify account are unaffected and remain yours to manage or delete directly in Spotify.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share your information in the following situations:
With Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors who provide services on our behalf.
For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
With Your Consent: We may share your information for other purposes with your consent.
